Studio Furniture Transformation - Part 1

I am pretty sure by now you would have noticed that there has been a distinct lack of 'crafty' type posts of late.  That is because I am STILL trying to get the studio under control and so have no real place to craft it up:

I have made some progress though.  Remember that crappy furniture I picked up a while back?  Well I painted the $10 chest of drawers, transforming them from this:

Into this:

When I went down to the studio to take the photos for this post, I noticed that our crab apple tree is starting to fruit:

Buggered if I know what you do with crab apples though!  Anyone out there know?
