It has been a while since I posted about The Studio and that's because there hasn't really been a whole lot of anything going on with it. We have started pulling down the ply wood from the walls though, ready for it to be plastered in the next 2-3 weeks:
I have, however, been successful in collecting some furniture for it. On the weekend I got the following items from Ruth's in Smythesdale.
A 1950's display cabinet for $25:
A 1950's chest of drawers for $10:
and a 1940's glory box for $25:
As a bonus, Ruth even threw in this set of disposable napkin, placemat(?) and coasters lol:
At the moment the furniture is a bit of an eye sore, but I am hoping that with some elbow grease and a lick of paint they will come up looking great.
Now just to decide what exactly to do with them! Paint them white and then use wall paper on various parts to add a bit of spice? Or maybe just paint them all wild and crazy colours?
Anyone have any ideas?
